In July 2024, the quartet recorded their second album at the
famous Alhambra studio in Rochefort, a wonderful human adventure,
with Vincent Barcelo at the controls. It
includes 11 original compositions written by Laurent Rochelle
and lasts approximately 60 minutes. The arrangements are
by the four members of the group, whose involvement since
the beginning of the project adds coherence and identity to the music of this new recording, which plunges us into a dreamlike world
with beautiful cinematic atmospheres, music that
could easily illustrate an imaginary film rich in emotions and
extremely varied landscapes.

“In A Purple Time” is a suspended moment filled with secret beauties,
a mysterious labyrinth from which one emerges transformed, each
piece opening a door to a surprising world of colors
and captivating sounds.
The aesthetic of the music finds its source in the minimalist and repetitive current (Terry Riley, Philip Glass, Moondog...)
with the recognizable stylistic identity of Laurent Rochelle,
all embellished with a significant amount of improvisation, so that
the music is constantly regenerating itself. The latter, with its rare richness of timbres and harmony, is very expressive and conducive to
opening the imagination on an extraordinary journey.
